Firstly, TPE can be used for wound dressing. Well, wound dressing is a normal occurrence within health facilities and because of that, breathable TPE films can be used in wound dressing.
This is because they can establish a barrier against pollutants while enabling moisture to escape, promoting wound healing.
Secondly, they can be used as a respiratory mask. While the field of breathable TPE films for medical applications could be wide, its usage as a respiratory mask is outstanding. This is because the TPE film has a breathable seal that fits patients comfortably and effectively blocks airborne pollutants.
Lastly, TPE films can be used as drug delivery systems. The truth is that nurses and care assistants face a huge problem with transdermal drug delivery. However, to overcome this type of challenge, TPE films can be used to make breathable products that stick to the skin of the patients and release drugs gradually via the skin barrier.
